Intersections International is a leader in the inter-faith dialogue movement. The staff of Intersections International are good people that do important work at a critical time in our nations history.

I am sorry to see the good name of Intersections International drawn into the conversation. I am also proud of the work I did with Intersections International in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon in October, 2009. I traveled with them as part of  the Iraqi Voices Amplification Project.

I am proud to be associated with Intersections International and believe in its mission which is dedicated to promoting justice, reconciliation and peace across lines of faith, culture, ideology, race, class, national borders and other boundaries that divide humanity.

Writer and broadcaster Chris Fabry is host of Moody Radio’s “Chris Fabry Live!” I produced this short video as part of a series for Moody Radio in 2009-2010. I recorded Chris during a live broadcast the day after I returned from Haiti following the January 12, 2010 earthquake. With dust from the rubble still in my throat, I sneezed while filming during a live segment. At the break I apologized. Chris responded by putting me on the air to talk about Haiti!

This is a video I produced for the Florida-Bahamas Synod of the ELCA for their 2010 Synod Assembly through Kairos and Associates. The family and I (minus Emily who is away at college) toured Florida for a week; Naples to Fort Lauderdale, Port St. Lucie to Clearwater. They played while I recorded stories of mission and ministry. I did manage a sunset in Naples and 6 holes of golf in Port St. Lucie! Here are the results.

This is a video I produced as part of a capital campaign to renovate and redesign the church and school campus at Salem Lutheran in Glendale, California. Kairos, a national Christian resource development firm recommended me for the job. During production I stayed at the home of Salem members Bob and Chris Watson. Their daughter Sarah serves as the narrator.

There is a new Lutheran Church in Haiti. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Haiti is a growing body of believers with 12 congregations scattered across Haiti. The Florida-Bahamas Synod of the ELCA asked me to put this video together for the 2010 Synod Assembly.

The silkworm is the caterpillar of Bombyx mori, the domesticated silk moth. The silk moth is entirely dependent on humans for its reproduction and no longer occurs naturally in the wild.

At the factory, the women, dressed in colorful saris, collect and sort huge piles of golden silkworm cocoons. Once sorted, the cocoons are immersed large into vats of boiling hot water.

This is bad news for the silkworms inside the cocoons! The hot water sparks a chemical reaction that allows the spun cocoon to unravel. Silkworm cocoons are natural bobbins made of one continuous strand of silk thread. After boiling, the cocoons are cooled and taken to a loom and unraveled.

The raw silk thread is then wound onto a spindle, dried and shipped to a textile factory.
